It looks like Charlie Brown is supposed to be the US and/or NATO, and if so, they’ve been curating fascism in Europe since the end of WWII. The tail has not been waging the dog.
This was just a quick one, but there’s a lot more that could go into this. Might try another version if inspiration strikes again.i read it as nato-supporting lib who claims to hate the far right. so basically european socdems, center-rightists, etc.
