I don’t get it. Is it unfortunate placement, because it displays the contrast between people in need and people with much more than they need?
The way I see it, the people of Gaza are not poor. They are being actively starved and killed. Many if not most of them had jobs, and companies and education.
What is unfortunate is not the placement of the posts. What is unfortunate, to say the least, is that the world seems to not care!
I totally agree that there is no need or justification for people being billionaires.
My point is, that the people of Gaza and Palestinians as such would be more or less fine, if they weren’t being oppressed by their neighbor, both now during the war, but even since 1948
Gaza was a part of Egypt and the west bank was a part of Jordan until 67. Israeli Arabs (not saying “Israeli Palestinians” as some of them don’t identify as such) were under martial law till the 60s, but still had many rights deprived from other Palestinians and even some minorities in western countries (for example, they had the right to vote).
Israël is backed up by the most powerful country in the world both politically and militarily.
Many people do care, it’s just not something they can fix.
We can donate to lessen the suffering but at the end of the day, one dude in the Whitehouse could probably get a cease fire in minutes if they really wanted to.
Sorry I meant the world as in the the world leaders. With this issue, there seems to be some interest conflicts between what the public wants and what the country leaders want

In my head it’s infuriating just cause it’s showing the cold harsh truth about the world. Humanitarian aid is still a thing. I hope…
Could be less or more infuriating, depending on perspective.

I care, what do you think I could do ?
