Spoilers ahead.

I’m replaying Fallout 4. With my first playtrough I allied with the Institute. Now I wanted to have different game so I decided to ally with the Railroad. But I can’t suffer them. They are just a bunch of morons and their whole agenda is ridicoulous. I’m at the stage when I’m about to officially betray the Institute by helping some synths escape. But it involves killing some innocent Institute researches and their synths to save other synths. To save a few robots I’m supposed to kill actual people and other robots? I’m trying to roleplay as a good guy here! It doesn’t make any sense…

I see the Institute as the only reasonable faction to join. People live happy and civilized lives there. They are technologically advanced and can actually change the world. ^trying ^to ^avoid ^major ^spoilers: >!Your relative lives there. You get a say on Institute future goals and if you’re a good guy, you can turn that to good outcome.!<

Brotherhood of Steel - military organisation that just hoards technology for themselves and have their heads inside their asses

Railroad - bunch of misguided idiots.

Has any of you actually helped the Railroad because you liked them?

I’d say the Railroad is one of the best factions you can join. Oppressive technology hoarding chauvinists? Fuck that, go capture another “farm” with one crop.

The institute is harder to criticize. But they also dont care about anyone’s agency in the wasteland. They think they are everyone’s savior with no regard for the existing lives they claim to be saving. They’ll rip your baby from your arms and kill your spouse if they think your child would be a good member of their club.

Now I’m going to need to see a source for this claim!.. Oh. Right.
