Didn’t fracking have a lot of negative consequences for the areas it occurred in?
It has — but a lot of those are related to the fact that fracking is being used to extract hydrocarbons. The situation with enhanced geothermal will likely have only a subset of the issues that fracking has caused in oil deposits.
