Afternoon everyone,

I wanted to go over a few points related to pricing, stats and the roadmap

Pricing

  1. Sync for Lemmy is completely free with ads (the same as Sync for Reddit)

  2. You can remove ads in the account picker or drawer for a one time fee of ~$20

  3. Sync Ultra also removes ads but it’s not required

  4. I’ll be working on regional prices over the coming weeks

There are now 24k installed users up from 100 the previous day!

I’m going to be spending the next few days going through all of the comments / messages and fixing any crashes.

    I bought the subscription before even logging in, because there was no other option and I wanted to instantly support the development. There’s an option without a subscription? 🫠

      I don’t see a way to change subscriptions either. I can only cancel and resubscribe. I assume after a few updates there’ll be a way to switch. If there’s a one time payment, I’ll gladly choose that.

        When at the everything page, click the little mouse icon in the top left (where you go to switch accounts), and there’s a remove ad option for ~$20 which is a one time payment. You need at least the Beta 25 update to see it

          You misunderstood. If you already choose e.g. monthly Ultra, there is no option to change for the one-time option or to the yearly subscription. You cannot change it, just with cancelling your already active subscription and go with another option.

          But I think it’s a limitation of the Play Store but I’m not sure.

          Also, you need to have not purchased a subscription, otherwise it doesn’t show up.

          I already bought the subscription as soon as the beta released, as I thought that would be the only option to pay for the development, so this option isn’t visible to me.
