In this he can count on the complicity of Western imperialism, which allows him to remain in office as their main reliable ally in the region.

I’ve heard conflicting things about this. One is that the “liberals”, idk if that’s the right word, want his head for corruption. OK, fine, I buy that. But on the other hand I’ve heard polling indicates that he’s consolidated his support over the last 10-ish months (since 10/7) and he may well win an election if one were held. I really don’t know what to think either way, just asking in case anyone else knows more.
