I use my scrubs this way. And my jeans. Nothing else really lasts that long and I kinda blame the additional wear and tear from my boobs. I buy thick socks and mend them when they get a hole I guess.
Whew. Hate the beach personally. Almost thought I was a seagull, but not quite!

4·8 days agoI don’t get punished for not taking sick days. I just have to double up on missed billing stuff the next day usually. So it’s like it’s own punishment.
Yeah stuffed crust is almost as bad as adding pineapple. It’s definitely a terrible texture.

6·9 days agoBetween undergraduate and postgraduate I went about 70k in. But most of it was UConn being too expensive. I don’t think I could have learned this depth of knowledge on the internet. Just the very basics, but not the minutiae, which are very important at my level. The degree included access to fieldwork and clinical trial stuff I couldn’t do otherwise. What I will say is that if I had not been committed as a student to my education, it wouldn’t have been the same outcome.
Excuse me, but where is “cool beans?”

5·11 days agoHoping we get through the next 24 hours or so. My apartment is a heat trap (hotter than the house I’m moving into without AC). It’s 83 in here with the ac running constantly.
My little adjustments are a spindrift mocktail and I really love leftover pizza. Something about it warmed up and all melty and chewy.

The house I’m moving in to doesn’t have AC. Which will be fun during the next few weeks.

It’s been like this for me lately. We hired someone and they turned out to be a bully. I have turned to doing my admin work at home due to their constant hounding of me disturbing my peace. Hopefully they’ll be gone soon, as they’ve been written up a couple of times now.

3·17 days agoThat was me and spring rolls. I got a good bottle of soy sauce and chili sauce at the Asian market they don’t sell anywhere else in town. I know they aren’t perfect but it saves a lot of money.

17·19 days agoThat one is really hard. You aren’t wrong if you say no, change your number, connect them with services, ignore, etc. But you have a heart so it still feels bad. So dad extra sucks for this.
A lot of good advice in this thread for some very thoughtful people. OP I want you to practice setting some boundaries with this guy even if you like him and continue seeing him.
Tell him no about things sometimes. Like “no, I can buy that myself”. Make sure he respects your wishes about minor things and has even, level-headed emotionally mature reactions to your boundaries.
