Being a Tankie is when you go so far left you end up coming back right and supporting Fascism still.
True communism never existed, supporting anything the Soviet Union did is fascist.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, it’s worth more than any conservative is.
Also lol that the “fReE SpEeCh” crowd cries a fucking river whenever people use that free speech to tell them they fucking suck.
Because you fucking chodes are somehow still clogging up the feed
I reddit a LOT at work so I was probably spending roughly 3-4 hours a day with reddit at least in the background and I haven’t actually intentionally visited the site for two weeks.
Honestly, my mental health is improving. Reddit is a shitty outrage machine that’s astroturfed by corporations and fascists.
What’s more disgusting is the army of bots they used to slander their volunteers. Every subreddit I was actually active in was painfully obvious to see hundreds of accounts that never posted there suddenly showing up and being violently anti-moderator.
Yeah imo the real problem with reddit was that
A: they started fudging the votes so they didn’t really matter and they could shadowban accounts from even being able to upovte/downvote
B: stupid fucking awards could keep posts at the top even if they had like -2000
c: fascists were gaming the system with bots anyway to push their content.
If a business can’t afford to pay its workers a living wage that business should not exist. If we all stopped going to these places they’ll be forced to fix it.
But Reddit Vs Lemmy is like a microcosm of this issue. Most people will stay on Reddit because god forbid they get inconvenienced or have to do something differently.
The same way people won’t leave twitter, won’t stop getting food at McDonalds or shopping at Wal-Mart, etc…
It definitely felt like land of the shills before I stopped going. Just hundreds of random new accounts posting in every community that went dark.
There’s already a huge handful of conservative communities and almost every conservative I’ve ever met is suddenly very upset with our military budget and without any proof think Zelensky is just pocketing the money.
But it has felt like they’re still the minority for the time being.
This shit is beyond annoying especially because their pin system fucking sucks. Half the time you have to go into one of those narrow corridor cave areas to find a dungeon it tells you to go the wrong way so you’re outside of the area completely.
What you don’t like being forced to dismount just to shoot some random roadblock with 2 skeletons then stand there for 8 seconds while your horse comes off cool down?
I can’t possibly fathom why /s
The complexity of “servers” (don’t get me wrong, federation is the way to go IMHO, but it is confusing to non-technical users)
I’ll admit the technical stuff is probably the most off-putting. Most major social media got where it is by being idiot proof. The whole set-up will need to be much more streamlined if they want to really dip into Reddits user base.
I used to go to the /r/nfl free talk threads and the day after it opened HUNDREDS of new accounts were posting talking about how the mods were pussies and blah blah.
It felt fucking surreal like 2016 Russian bot astroturfing all over again.
