Reading about operation gladio def makes me paranoid about what America would look like if a communist party ever became a threat. The cope I have is that:

1. The current far right don’t know what an actual socialist is. They think liberals are socialists.
2. The defunding of state institutions means less funds for undercover operations. Though I suppose they could be delegated to the police, which would be less organized and subtle

I think I would be more afraid of a purging of communists under Biden than Trump

I was checking out the hands off protest in my city and the vibe was totally different than the Palestine protests. Very disorganized, and as a friend put it “more of a festival vibe than an actual protest”

The absurdity of it all is this. I hear people at work talking about the future and things like nothing is happening in the broader world. If I bring it up I look like a crazy person though.

We’ve been individualized and unorganized by capitalism for so long and there is no outlet for unorganized people to do anything in response to the collapse. I feel like people are either in denial or just too afraid too admit it.

We are actually very lucky that Musk is the most uncharismatic person in the world. If he had just a little bit of charisma, or even Trump level charisma we would be so cooked.
