I left the org because my chapter gutted this resolution and I seriously considered rejoining if this had passed as written but I guess that’s not happening.

It was pretty wild last summer to see basically everyone on the left except a few trotskyists support the Teamster-UPS contract. Hopefully this wakes some people up to how feckless American labor unions are.

This is a fight going all the way back to 1848. The famous Marx quote about the proletariat being armed is so that they could fight the petite bourgeoisie reformists who would inevitably betray/fail the revolution when they turn on the workers. How supposed “revolutionaries” fail to grasp that the petty bourgeoisie are not their friends to this day is beyond me.

It was always absurd to think NATO weaponry and strategy was so far ahead of Russia that it could push a significantly larger military back. That’s not to say the Russians are going to have an easy time holding on to any ground long term if (when) they face an insurgency, but the belief that the Russians would be unable to lop off a significant chunk of Ukraine was sillly. Your average American has no idea what a real war between modern armies looks like though so I guess it makes sense that they bought the narrative.
