So you feel bad about slapping a mosquito? What about skipping a rock?

It is interesting to consider where we draw the line of what we define as an ‘intelligent animal’…
On top of the reason the top level comment gave (easy for law enforcement) it also allows for better data collection (linking your activity to your account, no matter where, how or when it is recorded)
Valorant kernel level driver managed to fuck up my whole system every few updates though. It’s managed to freeze my whole pc 2 times, cause a BSoD 3 times… And that’s only talking about last week.
Almost as if running unstable software designed to be intrusive to other programs on a kernel level was not a great idea. But hey less cheaters right??? Oh wait no, turns out it still doesn’t stop cheaters.
No way this wasn’t written by ChatGPT
That’s assuming the old comments are actually overwritten instead of just marked as ‘old’
New models are like really good at context, the amount of input that can be given to them has exploded (fairly) recently… So you can give whole datasets or books as context and ask questions about them.
Funny how you think an edit doesn’t write the old record to a comments_old table
Interesting how the second “correct result” is years older
Writing kernels for parallel execution with OPENCL gives me flashbacks every time I remember them
Even motorcycle helmets have a significant secondary psychological impact for bystanders… The difference between seeing someone slide and seeing a human crayon go splat is huge.
Works for the presidents of the USA I guess
brave article finds only good things about brave and only bad things about Firefox

Same with the camera, and probably something can be said about the ports too.
Should apple be allowed to completely close those off though? Nah
Problem with that is that simply pasting your signature is in no way legally binding. Someone could crop your signature out of a random document and then sign a bunch of papers with it.
With a paper copy you’re supposed to keep the hard copy (and so is the other party, that’s why you always sign in doubles).
Hell even printing, signing and scanning is quite vague in terms of legal value… You’d have to actually send the original hard copies by mail to be 100% covered. (With a registered letter at that).
Digital signing will supposedly make this whole process easier, but doing that digital signing can only be executed by a small amount of certified organisations. (As in everyone can digitally sign something with their own keys, but it won’t be legally recognized)
Not a lawyer, just someone who tried to figure out how signing legal documents works to include it in an inhouse program at work
This is accurate, it is also accurate for (at least some part of) android though… Going into recovery boot requires the phone pin for my mid-range phone. Hell even turning off the phone can be set to require pin or biometric.
Damn… That is good…
I guess we now have to learn all the different markers for AI generated music too (like hands and background continuity for image generation)
There are so many ways to encode information into an image without changing its look that I doubt you’ll find most of them by “changing levels”
But then those images could contain the very fingerprints he’s trying to avoid
Plenty of paywalled sites have workarounds (Bypass Paywall Clean extension basically does that for you)
