Gros Michel, often translated and known as “Big Mike”, is an export cultivar of banana and was, until the 1950s, the main variety grown. The physical properties of the Gros Michel make it an excellent export produce; its thick peel makes it resilient to bruising…
Can someone explain what a grand jury is exactly.
There’s an anime YouTuber that made an 8 hour video defending NFTs and one of the arguments is “people use a lot of energy to heat and cool their homes too”. Stupid as fuck.
It better. I love a good video game couch, e.g. ICO.
Maybe. I assumed her BF’s family were regular Canadian shitlibs but she told me before the dad buys Black Rifle Coffee and I’m assuming there’s no one apolitically buying that coffee.
My sister is hosting Christmas and letting her BF’s dad cook a lot of it, i. e. explicitly non-veganizing it so mynMom and I gotta’ make a bunch of food for ourselves now. Can’t even give me vegan whipped/mashed potatoes. And she’s usually good about trying to accommodate me.
Posts in estranged parents’ forums are vague. Members recount stories with the fewest possible details, the least possible context. They don’t recreate entire scenes, repeat entire conversations, give entire text exchanges; they paraphrase hours of conversation away. The only element they describe in detail is their own grief or rage. Nor do the other members press them for more information.
Compare this with the forums for adult children of abusers, where the members not only cut-and-paste email exchanges into their posts, they take photos of handwritten letters and screenshot text conversations. They recreate scenes in detail, and if the details don’t add up, the other members question them about it. They get annoyed when a member’s paraphrase changes the meaning of a sentence, or when omitted details change the meaning of a meeting. They care about precision, context, and history.

Reading this site since someone linked it was on Reddit talking about how reactionary boomers perceive the world.
Also was a Disney-Adult, in a way.
Yeah, internet nazis spend an inordinate amount of time complaining online and then the shitlib mods these companies barely pay to censor the left way more, tilting the field. I also think leftists who are less fascistically libidinal and more self-conscious avoid getting into seemingly useless internet arguments in general.
They probably are categorizing it more by what order they think people should read them and less how complicated they are, per se. The beginner category seems to have more rhetorical value getting people interested in MLism I guess?
Edit: Would put Capitalist Realism in the intro though if that’s the case and the Stalin stuff after it. I don’t know. I can almost tell this is made by a 20-something marxist-leninist who’s probably excited to recommend what other people should read but aren’t particularly well-read themselves.
Redditors on the digital minimalism subreddit won’t shut up about phone addiction and algorithms and stuff being used to affect people’s mentalities and eat up their time. And then some one posted about sexuality and porn being used to do the same (on social media, etc.) and the majority of the 40+ comments were either skeptical or calling them a prude.
Immediately turned into non-minimalists as soon as it was their personal treats being critiqued.
I would like you to know you just got copy-pastaed.
Gunna’ lose my mind trying to argue with anti-carbon tax, pro-tariff conservafascist dipshits.
The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as “the greatest or most significant or most influential” rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.
I decided I’m not gunna’ play any game that isn’t released on PS4 or Switch. My PC isn’t really powerful enough to play PS5-exclusive games anyway, so that sets a similar hard-limit. I was gunna’ decide no game post-2020 but this choice made more sense.
I remember reading an article by Cosmo about music/metal on his ex-blog Invisible Oranges about how since we have a limited amount of time on Earth we’re all making limits or acting within limits like these anyway. Some are just more conscious of it than others, so it shouldn’t be treated as weird for someone to consciously decide they want to engage with a hobby in a specific manner like this.
It’s optimized around dev costs and not performance, sadly.
Cannot imagine caring about the “Game Awards”. Firstly, it’s a stupid mix of industry professional nominations and popularity vote, I think. Secondly, it’s called “The Game Awards” which is the least-inspired name ever. Thirdly, it’s mostly just trailers and the emphasis is put on the trailers, so if you got free advertising from it by being mentioned on it constantly you’re out ahead anyway.
Some Australian was asking in the comments of that video why people needed to heat their homes and surely blankets would be enough. Middleclass dipshits are going to kill us all.
