Any time someone/group gets as big as them speaking the way they do, it makes me wonder if they’re doing a bit to corner a market. Capitalism WILL co-opt anything. Maybe they got caught up in it as well?

The lead singer, Dennis lyxzen went on to do the international noise conspiracy which had songs like ‘capitalism stole my virginity’. Also, this album defined punk music for a decade. There was mainstream punk before and after. Then the guy does the next band which had the same kind of sound as the strokes before the strokes. Occasionally we’ll get artists that can see how trends are going and ride those waves. These guys did it twice.

Seriously, check this guy and his projects out. He surrounds himself with people that get it, and he’s about as revolutionary as musicians can be.
