This one of funny because when reading about it I hit the feeling that they had no idea or plan to what they were doing. They just wanted to sell albums and get laid.
Then they drop this completely weird af, beautiful and haunting album which everyone of course tries to deconstruct and find the real meaning behind etc.

Larry invented slap bass, they renewed funk, Greg laid the groundwork for what all hip hop artists draw from, sly used a drill machine that was more or less a toy to create really nasty and murky beats by lioping, overlaying and tooting with speeds ented and theyinnovated sludgy lo-fi sound. All in a few years.

Well yeah it is, but is most likely much harder to solve co-living like that in a way that’s acceptable for almost any people. Whereas what was suggested here is that people pool their resources and lend/rent to each other.
Nothing about forcing anything on anyone, and people who want to be able to have exactly the CPU they need at any given time would probably not be interested.
As someone who’s been using it in my work for the last 2 years, it’s my personal observation that while the models aren’t improving that much anymore, the tooling is getting much much better.
Before I used gpt for certain easy in concept, tedious to write functions. Today I hardly write any code at all. I review it all and have to make sure it’s consistent and stable but holy has my output speed improved.
The larger a project is the worse it gets and I often have to wrap up things myself as it shines when there’s less business logic and more scaffolding and predictable things.
I guess I’ll have to attribute a bunch of the efficiency increase to the fact that I’m more experienced in using these tools. What to use it for and when to give up on it.

Yeah I get that they created roguelite for games that are based on rng runs and has some sort of async progression and I think that has become a pretty practical genre to categorize a wide array of hands that share those traits.
But roguelike should be kept to games like nethack, pixel dungeon etc that share the basic concepts of rogue.

Yeah I agree that free will and determinism aren’t mutually exclusive. Just because free will doesn’t exist, that doesn’t mean that everything is preordained.
It’s a hard question. For example with children I try to assume that they’re doing the best(only thing) they can and judge their actions from that perspective. With people who are mentally ill or addicts I lean that direction as well but honestly it’s hard with adults.
I truly believe that Putin and Trump are doing the only things they are capable of but I cannot forgive their actions despite them being victims of determinism, just like everybody else.
Society needs to hold people accountable, not because it’s fair, but because it could possibly prevent others from acting similarly.
If i am presented with a choice, say beer or wine, I feel like I’m making an educated choice based on the circumstances and my current personal state.
If we were to rewind time to that exact choice with the exact same parameters I’d choose the same beverage over and over again. It’s my free will, but I’m completely conditioned to choose it based of the environment, my DNA and my experiences.
If there were to be some quantumancy happening that made me choose differently in one of those scenarios, that doesn’t make the argument for free (controlled) will any stronger. Just that there’s some uncertainty at play.
At the end of the day it doesn’t matter, we still need to good people accountable for their actions.
The amount of fucking up this here globe we need to be doing before fixing it up is harder than terraforming mars is inconceivable. Even building a small dome and making sure we have our basic needs meet is on a completely different level of complexity and resource spending than sorting things out here.
Even when we have to move underground and scavenge for water and basic needs that’s still utopia in comparison to some mars base with what the earth would still provide us for free.
Not the one you responded to but if I may hazard a guess I’d say they see non-voting as a protest against the two party representative democracy currently in place.
If you’re forced to vote and there is no blank alternative, you are being forced to legitimise it whether you like it or not.
Apparently I’m working as dream of the endless from here on, a lot of responsibility and family issues but could be fun as well.
I had a blast with populous and dungeon keeper. They’re not god given games with the best design ever but they’re good games with interesting quirks. The other two, not so much.
I wrote down Pet Sounds as a majorly influential album and Brian Wilson has said that that cohesion and individual song strength of Rubber Soul was the inspiration that drove him to make it.
