Just an old retired guy who’s still a leftist.
That’s the new Wicker Man ephemera!
I get your point especially as related to selling. But when it comes to a whole lot of off-meta dispo 4 & 5 weapons, a riven is the difference between viability and not.
Really no bad choices this week. I have all of them Incarnated, and I’m always happy to see one of them show up as SP Circuit options.
You glossed over the Furax having a slam radius almost as big as the biggest in game. Fun with a “Invisible Slamming Death from Above” Wisp!
Even before I looked at the AU domain, somehow I knew this was not Melbourne Florida. Unfortunately.
And after sitting her in the Helminth trying to choose—I’m going with Sickening Pulse! Should turn her into quite a nuker.
Nourish isn’t the MOST boring choice, but it’s near the bottom for excitement.
(Roar and Eclipse are tied for most boring.)
More interesting and possibly good on her:
Wrathful Advance
Coil Horizon
Condemn
Ensnare
Fire Blast
Larva
Silence
I happily admit that I can dismiss Nourish in part because I have Archon Flow. Which is all the energy buffing I find I need.
I also find doing the challenges for decrees disruptive to game play and in many cases, achieving the mission objectives. Sometimes for entire rounds of defense! Worse, you can then end up with a decree that offers nothing to the current mission.
If we got a 5 panel choice of decrees as in Duviri, that would fix some of the bad that is the current Omikuji.
I picked the Dera because I already have a 6 forma SP worthy Dera Vandal with a riven.
I also love this weapon, which has NO recoil, can drive nails at 50m, and since it’s a projectile weapon, works great with Mag.
Sicarus is my second choice, just on a hunch.
A perfect example of “give the people what they think they want, and they’ll make something entirely unusable.”
Might want to also mention where Vainthorn is found, for those who need to actually build her.
I don’t understand anyone who runs Dagath without her signature Dorrclave. Free life steal and pure slash to go with all her viral.
Did somebody do a deeper dive than Triburous’ RIFTBOUND?
There are MAYBE two weapons that it’s sensible to use heavy caliber on, and NEITHER should have serration on at the same time.
Coming on three weeks now, and no actual help with this.
main thing I want to say is to point out that Prova rivens are dirt cheap.
Get one and roll it for crit damage. Then slap on [static discharge] and build Kullevo with the Mecha set and you can triple coat everything in the room with damage from his single target kill. (Collective Curse + Mecha Target + Static Discharge) and one more time if you run Melee Influence.
They’re ripe when they turn yellow.
Got my first one this summer from a top I cut off a store bought pineapple maybe years ago. Home grown, from my single example, has a more subtle flavor with hints of vanilla and much less acid.
I take another tack with Wisp’s passive invis, one that recently got much stronger with the changes to damage.
Death from Above Wisp floats about until she finds a group of enemies, then slams down onto them with a Corrupt Charge heavy attack with a Hammer modded for slams. Much death, and then she jumps right back up into the air—and is invisible again. Aero mods, Aerodynamic and an Anti-grav Array Moa make her have silly amounts of hang time.
That’s not bright of you. You going to clutch your pearls as Trump is inaugurated?
How about when he carries you off to a camp?
Bet she also “urges” withdrawing support from Ukraine.
You can get all the way to LR4 without leveling a single K-drive. I did.
Always keep in mind that ideally, you should be doing two things at once when you’re doing something. Working lich murmurs? Be sure to do the excavation mission for cryotic to get that Sibear. Grinding XP in ESO? Be sure to stay to wave 8’s end, to get a chance at Braton Vandal and Lato Vandal.
And on a different note, to avoid burnout don’t do the same void-damned thing over and over and over. When grinding for Old Mate standing with Fortuna, I’d start each day with a bounty, and end the day with another. If a clan mate wanted to run some of them during the day, great, I’d do that. But I did not spend 3 hours running the same bounty over and over.
If the only sensible place to get something means you have to grind the same mission over and over, vary the gear you use for it so it becomes more interesting. This is what I did grinding for Harrow Systems back when its best drop chance was a dismally low number from Saturn Defection. You hate the game going to the same mission with the same gear over and over. So I tried most every frame to see if things that weren’t the meta for defection would work, and to my delight discovered that several are quite good at it.
And finally, I hope you have a good, social clan that likes helping. If you don’t, maybe I can fix that.
“Sea slug”?
