  • Στον πούτσο μου λουλούδια και γύρω γύρω μέλισσες is a very niche phrase for those who are definitely not into the whole brevity thing. In reality most will say “on my dick” or “on my balls”. The complete expression is to write something that one does not care about on their dick or balls, but the first part about the writing is usually ommited.

  • That is absolutely true, but you know that the vast majority of people are not as politically engaged as to do something about that. They barely get up to vote for the big one. I get it that this is not exactly the best of excuses, but if you consider how voting works in general - with things like gerrymandering etc and the shady and purposefully complicated process of electing party representatives - I would argue that the American people are never given much of a choice. At the end of the day I don’t think what you guys have can be called a democracy. The process gives way too much power to a select few and takes all the meaning away from the public vote. Most people may not realize it, but they instinctively react to the futility of the voting process. In fact, I would argue that the Trump phenomenon is a direct result of this. Arguably most people who voted Trump are not consciously evil fascists, they are ignorant idiots (and I use this word for its original Greek meaning) who are tired of voting for anyone from the establishment only to see them serve the 1%.

My point is, it’s easy to start pointing fingers at those who didn’t vote anti-Trump specifically, but imho Harris was exactly the candidate that would cause a surge of Trump votes by trying to appease her way to the middle of the road between the extreme right and the insane ultra nazi right that are the two choices for Americans these days.

  • Trump will no doubt be worse for the environment and many other things. But as an outsider I cannot help but ask, if you blame those who did not vote for Harris for what is coming, then surely your hands are dipped in the blood of all the victims of the Democratic party’s policies over the years? How long are you going to pretend that they are different? Surely you realize that no Bernie will ever be the democratic nominee and that this is by design. How far to the right must the Dems go before someone else takes over what is the remnant of the American left?

  • Bro are you dense? Who said anything about hate? I don’t think those tattoos look nice ok? I think she would look better without them or if she’d gone with something else. I don’t know what you’re trying to make out of this but it’s ok not to like some things in life. I don’t like this type of apartment building either, they were mass produced in the 70s probably and they’re made of crappy materials, the balconies and windows are not large enough and the walls have a shitty texture that gathers dust. I don’t like fur, it looks tacky. I don’t like bright red lipstick, it looks cheap. In fact I don’t like red anything. There’s always a better colour for everything. Don’t agree? Watch me not giving a fuck. Bet you have your own aesthetic and I’m sure it’s totally different to mine. Good on ya. It’s not political, get over it.

  • The only way this is “political” is in a twisted american way where the only difference between the two parties available is that the dems are somehow lefties because of their more accepting views on social matters like abortion and the lgbt community, compared to the utterly deranged nazi right. Well newsflash, acceptance of peoples’ appearance is fundamental understanding of human rights and there’s nothing wrong with expressing one’s dislike of a certain style. One does not negate the other. Political is class warfare, freedom of speech and expression, not some stupid tattoos.

  • First of all I didn’t say any of these things. You assumed both. Personally I don’t like tagging, which is not the same as graffiti. Graffiti art can be great. There’s street art out there that’s breathtaking. Same for tattoos. For starters I never distinguished between men and women. You did that. I have nothing against tattoos as a general concept. I’m not a fan of this particular style of cliché designs scattered about.

Here’s my perspective on tattoos if you’re interested: In western cultures tattoos started out as distinguishers of society’s outcasts, prisoners etc. Their popularisation in the last few decades began from successful individuals who somehow “made it” in life. Rock stars, football players etc, usually people from lower or middle class families who made a lot of money. For them unconsciously tattoos in visible places signify that they are successful in an unorthodox way, it shows to everyone that they can be different, they can stand out because they have money and they don’t need an employer/ master, they don’t need to look presentable, wear a suit (uniform) to work etc. In essence they’re free from the shackles of labour. Tattoos became a sign of individuality and success in that way. Nowadays that everyone and their mother has tattoos and nobody cares anymore, in order to serve their purpose they need to be more and more outlandish and provocative, hence the face tattoo fad etc. I predict that in a few years from now kids will reject the concept and it might even be cool not to have them.

  • The meme suggests that this beautiful woman made herself less attractive by getting tattoos. People who tend to agree with that statement are not necessarily nazis fascists sexists Trump voters rapists church goers and so on, despite the fact that many of that ilk share similar sentiments (but for completely different reasons). Believe it or not, not everyone likes this aesthetic and this is not political.

  • I’m sure my opinion is as worthless to her as hers is to me. And btw nobody is comparing the woman to the object, the point is that the aesthetic is similar. Applies to all sexes and objects. Imho the building tags are not art, or at least not good art. And her snakes, bugs and Japanese masks are so tired and trite, everyone does the same stuff. Yay.
