Everyone’s upset about the vegan ice cream voters not voting for regular ice cream.

No one is upset at the regular ice cream people for being unwilling to vote for a vegan ice cream place because their choice is default in their mind.

Both sides are holding each other hostage. One has a moral reason and the other just doesn’t want to compromise.

And to add to it. Fun fact, literally all studies of economic impacts of immigrants show they are a boost to the nation they move to and not a burden. You treat it as a given that a person not currently in their nation of origin puts stress on that system beyond what they added to it.

You don’t see cops as the enforcement of capital with a side gig of solving crime. He does. Just because the show doesn’t bother to dive into that aspect doesn’t mean it’s an invalid point especially if we are just talking about “goodness”.

Here’s a better way to put it. Light would view the FBI agents as good guys due to his general views of law enforcement in general so targeting them is light showing that what he thinks is good in the world is irrelevant to his choices.

I want you to Google “racist town Texas” and find my home towns wikipedia page. I didn’t grow up in a liberal bubble, I very much understand their view points. They were mine for the majority of my life.

Perhaps you should spend less time thinking about how you should give passes to offenses in your life and more about the people you fail when you let their detractors say what they want unchallenged. So when a person comes in, family, friend or acquaintance and starts talking about how he doesn’t think trans people should exist, I ain’t talking to him anymore. When some mothefucker comes in saying gay marriage shouldn’t be legal, I ain’t talking with that motherfucker no more.

Because you can’t really talk to someone starting from the position of “you should not exist and your existence right now I find morally apprehensible”. They are telling you they want you dead, gone, or in the closet. Whatever you choose.

How many friends you got that actively call for some part of your life that you have no control over to be made illegal? Cmon, how many you got? You are responsible for the actions of people you vote for. You don’t get to drop your vote and move on. If you regret it you apologize as if you yourself had done it.
