What I’ve found helpful in making these types of people question their bloodthirsty beliefs, or at least backtrack on them IRL, is to ask them what they would do if they were Ukrainians in Ukraine now, or if they had a home or loved ones there. Even the most rabid ones usually stop after hearing this, if anything because they see how deranged their stance is. I doubt it would make random libs online back down, since shame doesn’t play a big role in anonymous spaces, but still

That’s also my impression with all the Baltics. And certainly 9 out of 10 Baltic people I’ve met didn’t do anything to dispel that impression

These people are just mad there is mass support for people they hate. I swear, it seems like every NAFOid (man)child supports Isn’treal simply because:

1. They hate Muslims.
2. They hate Arabs.
3. They hate leftists, most of whom support Palestine, therefore they must take the opposite side.

At least they ended the screenshots with a sane comment. Made it more palatable

For real, I’m sick of how many calls for genociding/nuking/deporting Russians I’ve heard since the war started… in real life, not on the internet… where people aren’t even that close to each other, and who would scorn other types of discrimination (at least for show)

It’s just an old boys’ club with a few onion layers of academia wrapped around to make it less obvious

I tried pointing that out to a family member and guess what - they did just take it away from Stalin by repeating the same tired bullshit that the USSR wouldn’t have lasted without western help and so it was the western allies that really beat the nazis. Which is factually wrong and implies Soviet lives were worthless (could US guns shoot on their own?), but that’s what you get when arguing with racists

The other day I saw a ukro-nazi in the wild. Wearing nazi-inspired apparel like we often see in the supposedly photoshopped images of Ukrainian nazis. Dude was many countries away from the frontline. Surreal to see them live here

We like to joke about factionalism on the left, but try putting 5 conservatives/MAGA “communists” in the same room to define what “woke” or “globalism” means and you’ll end up with 7 definitions and more than a few grudges

How does that work, is it a public server? Do you have any resources on Ukraine there by anu chance? I’m interested to read more about it and have some links on hand to show to friends/family, but so far most of my knowledge comes from this instance and some media like Geopolitical Economy Report, not exactly lib-friendly
