There was a lot of people who weren’t aware of how horrible that first one was. We were among the 2019 wave before they even called it Covid, it was easily the worst sickness to land on us. No surprise people suffered long-covid or died after that.

Despite having used it in the past, never ran Linux main. This year will be the first time ever, nervous but exciting. M$ really pushed hard enough that I don’t want to bother with another Windows (started at 3.1).

I was big into those magazines on how to tweak/modify Windows to go faster. One day I was reading up on compressing a hard drive to save space. So I compressed C: to save space. Sure learned a lot those years!

This is a really important factor here that it wasn’t exactly “Grandma’s” choosing (not to make the meme unfunny but…) Yeah, more often than not it was “Grandpa” with no choice in the matter.
