My father’s genealogy efforts have brought him into contact with more family, most of which he never would have found without. It has had no effect on his immediate family, and he is a great Dad. I love when people claim to not trust the science of vaccines. Vaccines created using the same scientific method that allowed the invention of the smart phones they’re typing from. The same science that allows for all modern medicine, energy production, manuacturing, etc.
