Crimea is majority Russian and belonged to the RSFR within living memory of a lot of people, though.

i don’t even know whether the reports of Jolani leaving Damascus had anything to them.
Al Mayadeen reporting that Jolani has left the Syrian capital accompanied by his family.
“we’ll be greeted as liberators” doesnt ever work and especially not when you’re fighting the side with the most advanced propaganda apparatus in history
Hostomel was fucking crazy. Really lame thing to say but the first few days of that war literally felt like watching clips from some Battlefield game.
Who knows what the fuck is going on in Syria rn. Further escalation, I think, and israel has continued bombing, including a strike on Homs in the last hour. No idea where this leads. Seems like Arab clans are pouring into the south to attack the Druze militias who have been carrying out their own mass killings. Erdogan is a watermelon seller and the son of a dog.
The other thing to note in these figures is that for all figures the largest cohort is “don’t know”. political disengagement is a huge issue. Also, the fact that climate isn’t even in the top 3 issues is hilarious. Fucking morons honestly, there’s no excuse for that when your entire life is going to be dominated by that issue beyond all others.
I always thought the whole “Russia is baiting Ukraine into a war of attrition what a smart strategy” thing was dumb, because who wants to get into a war of attrition? Especially when you’re trying to make the land you’re taking a part of your country, you’re going to have to rebuild all of that depopulated land. I don’t think they could have avoided it but it’s not a good thing to spend years and thousands of lives grinding through fortifications, even if you’re the Russian army and you have to go through a mandatory set of purges for incompetence in the first 2 years of any given war.
also who remembers the T-14 Armata? that was fun
really ought to be illegal to make expensive electronics that can’t be taken apart. waterproofing was a trojan horse!
I mean fair, I mostly agree, but it’s not really true that it’s as straightforward to install any kind of Linux as it is to install Windows. Not everything is Arch but it will take several extra steps compared to what Windows requires and the documentation can be overkill for your average user or weirdly judgemental towards users who aren’t familiar with Linux at times. A lot of this would be fixable with better education that teaches people how and why to mess with the tech, but obviously that’s not happening under capitalism either.
people are switching to Chromebooks and Android tablets
how dare you doubt Jim Osman, a finance expert with over 30 years of experience
Yeah for mass adoption someone’s going to need to figure out how to make it as easy to install Linux as it is to install Windows. It’s not exactly difficult to do rn but it’s a lot more involved than the average computer user is going to be able to hack, which will put a limit to the number of people who are willing to adopt.
it means a blood clot in your leg vein essentially
what if hitler just died in 1934
you probably already googled the beep code, but if not, try doing so.
there’s a lot of stuff that is supported and with the uptake rising hopefully more applications will have Linux versions soon. otherwise, I’ve found it relatively easy to just have a Windows drive that I can switch over to in case I need to use something, and Linux for daily use aside from that
do the majority of people know how to install an OS these days at all? like even windows, could the average computer user do that?
it’d probably be Feinstein again, and he’d no doubt win it. came close enough last time.
I also heard a rumour of fleeing to Idlib lmao
