The more I think about it the more it makes sense, not all tutors are at the same power level. There’s a world of difference between [[Demonic Tutor]] and [[Trinket Mage]]

Red is my favorite MtG color. All my EDH decks have red in them. There’s something about the explosiveness / the flashiness of the effects that I can’t keep away from 😅

At one point I had a simic landfall deck, and it worked well, but it felt boring to play. My solution was adding red, now it’s a temur “ramp fast into absurd stuff” deck and it’s just SO much more fun !

Good catch on the trigger with no source ! Having yet another “outside the game” mechanic that requires tracking (like Day/Night, Tempted by the Ring or Dungeons) really turned me off of that set.

WOTC changed the color pie in 2021, and gave black access to enchantment destruction, at a lower power than white or green.

Now this card is way more efficient than most of the recent black enchantment removal ([[Early Winter]], [[Debt to the Kami]], [[Shatter the Oath]]), I guess they are trying to see how strong the effect should be.
