West Fort Worth, TX. Like I said, there’s fiber at the new apartments a quarter mile down (both ATT) the road yet our housing development is DSL of all fucking things. Many parts of FW have fiber and generally better service, but all these telecom back door agreements fuck everyone over. ATT has a monopoly in this area so we have no other choices. It fucking sucks. On top of the trash is the 1.5 terabyte cap, which their fiber service doesn’t have. Make sense of that for me because I sure as hell can’t.

I pay $65 for 45 Mb/s in the city here in the US. I would love 250 at this point. The apartments a quarter mile away have fiber though. I’m not salty at all.

I’m not denying that. Later on in the article it goes into further detail about how apple use the GSM RCS standard and “work to improve it”. Which means they won’t use Google’s version. So now we see what Google will do as Apple will not be working with them on the Google version after all their fuss about rcs.

My wife and I have a pixel while the rest of my family useses iPhone so I am quite interested in how this will turn out. If there is a way the two meet on the GSM standard I think it will be great. But will Google be willing to do that?

It says in the artical they plan to use rcs the standard as currently published by the GSM Association. So I assume they won’t be using Google version. Unless I’m misunderstanding it.

Same. In a large city no less. With new apartments down the road, less than a quarter mile away, having fiber while we have DSL ffs in our whole neighborhood. No other choices for broadband. Fuck ATT.

Happened to me yesterday. One day shipping of course. I was super excited for it, now it’s supposed to arrive between 3:30 and 7:30, lame. I guess it’s good I finally got an update.
