Admittedly it’s been over a decade since I was fluent in Tagalog, and this could be a more formal (meaning biblical) grammar that isn’t used in daily conversations. Similar to old/formal English (“For whomsoever doth…”) versus modern English (“Anyone that…”).

My Tagalog was learned while amongst the Bikolanos. It probably wouldn’t have equated to much more than Grade 5 fluency. I’d trust a native Cebuano much more than some rusty Amerikano like myself 😄 especially since I only know maybe three words of Cebuano to begin with

“Sabi nga nila” -> “They said”

At first I thought it was Tagalog but the nga was off. I think it’s Cebuano or Visayas, which are major dialects of Tagalog that pretty much qualify as their own official languages given how many speak them, though the dialects have many dialects as well.

Also notice that the handrail in the original photo has turned into a divider in the makeover. It’s a subtle perspective change but one that wouldn’t make sense in reality. AI wouldn’t be able to discern that properly.

My username appears on the list and I don’t believe my comment history aligns with this statement at all. I believe my username is just unique enough to not have another instance of it. Selection of some usernames do not appear to support their (admiralpatrick) claims of violence advocation nor extreme political views.

I’ve come to appreciate this approach in the cybersecurity world. CVE exploits and proof-of-concepts from experienced authors get included in tools like Metasploit. Individual authors will intentionally do something like put subtle syntax errors or “forget” necessary include statements so something won’t compile or link correctly. Just enough to deter script kiddies but not enough to phase a seasoned tester or experienced developer.

I don’t know what you mean. Wealthy companies are citizens too. Just look away and let them take priority, patriot.

It’s sarcasm, mocking people in the administration and those funding the data centers who have made these claims.

Similar experience here. Some companies just want to pin a scapegoat should they be held liable. Others are just assholes from top to bottom.

You did your due diligence. You almost got burned. Decide for yourself if it’s worth it next time. Not every act in good faith receives a good response.

I’m all for jumping ship on the grounds of this being an overreach. However there just aren’t any good alternatives to Discord which would entice the general public from following suit.

Discord has the advantage of being a very frictionless user experience. You make one account and can join whatever servers you want thanks to its centralized design. It has file sharing, gif and video support, voice channels, screen sharing, API support with websocket events, and a hefty amount of bots to ease management.

There are other solutions but they don’t cover the same amount of features. Some focus on voice, some focus on chat, and some try to do as much but the experience isn’t quite robust. It’ll be like Reddit users and the API fiasco that people thought would be its downfall: the activists will leave but the general community won’t care enough, or aren’t tech-savvy enough, to be bothered.

I see this as him pointing out to Trump’s supporters that the actions of this administration are not only inhumane but run contrary to core Christian teachings. If the “pro-Christian” administration isn’t being very Christian then call out their hypocrisy.
