Was the first game good? I never played it, but saw all the twitchers playing it for a few weeks. Hard to gauge tho because all the twitchers follow trends no matter the mediocrity.

100% agree. The game looked like dog ass from the get-go. My disdain for it only grew as all the rubes who spent $30 bucks on it tried to defend it and tell me it’s good. I knew it wasn’t and I know the hype would fade within a week.

The general public has made online gaming unbearable for me as of late. Unless they are real life friends, I tend to avoid games that require CoOp. I still play WoW and am eager to see how the “Follower Dungeons” go, because it will give my casual ass a way to do dungeons without being called a slur for not min/maxing my character with the meta build of the week.

That being said, when I do end up playing with strangers I try my best to be pleasant and honest about my skill level and knowledge. Again, I am a very casual player and am only there to have fun and see big crits, I don’t care about speed-running 15 year old dungeons for the sake of some achievement system.

Yeah realizing my neurodivergence and how it impacts my work life has been pretty eye opening. From the perspective you touched on as well as from a general social dynamics standpoint. They most definitely wear everyone down and then on top of that expect you to participate in the extra-curricular shit. By the time I’m done slaving away for 8 hours, the last thing I want to do is go to a bar and socialize with people. The whole grind is extremely non-conducive to anyone who isn’t neurotypical imo. Sure we all get through it most of the time, but idk if I’m supposed to be this exhausted after just sitting in an office all day.

Really hope the freelance stuff works out for you though, being able to work kind of for yourself on more or less you own terms sounds wonderful.

As long as you can back up your lie with a grotesque amount of overconfidence, most hiring managers are not going to dig much deeper than surface level. Like you already said, they are probably overworked and just going through motions. Hiring you has the potential to ease their workload, not hiring you means wasting another afternoon conduction more interviews the next day.
