  • Basicly we have 4 groups:

    1. PiS (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość, Law and Justice) is a catholic and rather socialist party with a lot of support, aspecialy outside of big cities and in rather older group of voters. They rule now for the second time.
    2. KO (Koalicja Obywatelska, Citizen Coalition) this is the main oposition party, its a mix of PO (Platforma Obywatelska, Citizen Platform?) and other smaller groups like Zieloni (Green Party?), Nowoczesna (liberal group) and others. This is second force and they ruled almost 8 years ago, before PiS. They fucked up preety bad and lost two elections in row. I think this is main choice for people like my parents so X generation or Boomers from big cities, middle class with fair amount of money and nice life. For young people, this party is consider liberal in a bad way. A lot of millenials and Z generation tell that KO cares only about big business and they dont have any plans for 20-30 years old citizent. I think it may be truth, at least to some extend.
    3. Lewica (Left) is the main left wing party in poland. They talk a lot about housing, LGBT, women rights, inclusion and other related topics. They are consider as the most modern thinking group but they had a lot of PR fuckups in social media. They basicly focus on womens problems a lot and some people think that they forgot completly about mens problems and i agree with this.
    4. Konfederacja (Confederation) is the main right wing parth in poland, most radical and religious. They have pretty bad PR couse couple of main figures seems verry friendly with Russians and this is super big red flag in poland. They got a lot of wierd plans and ideas like civil marriage that cant be cancled. They are famous for beeing misunderstood all the time and for having verry excentric, with worst posible PR former president - Janusz Korwin-Mikke.

Any other group is to small to even consider it important. And, to be fair the fight is between 1 and 2. 3 and 4 have to make a coalition with someone.

I only scratched the surface here and it is good to remember that i also live in my buble so it might seems diferent for others but i tried not to pour my personal believes in to this post.
