8·3 days agoDunno if it helps but I put batteries in glass jars. Keeps them from getting contacted by metal things, keeps the leaks contained.

13·4 days agoI tip 0% at places where I go to the counter, order, wait, pay, and retrieve my food. That is a base level expectation, not a service or a favour.
It helps that we don’t have a ‘tipping wage’ anymore.
I’d never heard of premade dough powder. It might be something you can make yourself though. Pizza dough is just flour, water, salt, yeast. Optionally a little sugar, garlic powder, oregano.

5·11 days agoI’ve pretty much eliminated beef, because it’s by far the worst climate offender. Pork and chicken are cheaper and lower impact by every measure as far as I know. A burger every few months, maybe.
It honestly hasn’t been difficult.

2·14 days agoOur export dominated economy might make the euro a hard sell. Floating the dollar is very helpful since we can devalue it easily and boost exports. Being on the euro has some major downsides.
That said, also some major upsides. It’s just not a pure win.
