More like enshittification overdrive. They already paywall the ability to read messages older than a few months in the free version.

Interestingly, the instances of this that we read about on wikipedia are the ones that weren’t completely erased from history. Who knows how many other faces and names have been successfully erased?
Another reason to use Firefox on Android, in case ublock support wasn’t already enough.
The data protection laws are good, but a lot of the other bills for banning dark patterns and other annoying “features” sound difficult to enforce
It’s more of a hivemind mentality that I see sometimes, but reddit is about the same or worse in that respect.
Around 200ish probably? I need to upgrade my freighter to have more jump range still. Wormholes only seem to move me around 3k-5k ly closer to the core each time. Already got several sentinel ships with about 1k range and am working on getting a living ship rn
I’m currently working on the same. About 550k from the galaxy center atm. Just hopping every 2k in my freighter or warping through wormholes.
Let’s hope nobody gets left on read

I think they mean that a lot of careless people will give the AIs personally identifiable information or other sensitive information. Privacy and security are often breached due to human error, one way or another.
Etchings and chill? 😏
Calling AI generated pictures “art” is insulting to most artists. I agree though, all this hype is driven by short-sighted capitalism
Yes. As an aside, the post title reminds me of LinkedIn clickbait. Agree?
I see more legal and reputational damages on the horizon lol
You’re probably right. I bet they’ll try to make all the profit they can on the game in its unfinished state until they can’t anymore.
I hope they open-source the game, rather than abandon it.
Apparently the warrant was served only after an discovering evidence from an unrelated (or semi-related?) arrest? The article didn’t specify if his ransomware worked, but I doubt it did if it was mostly GPT-generated. I guess the intention and confession is enough to make charges stick though. Wouldn’t be surprised if whatever GPT service he used also flagged him as suspicious and led authorities to him.
How much you wanna bet the author of that post also has a fetish for farts?
Most of what I’ve seen in the news so far is due to content based on shitposts from reddit, which is even funnier imo
Yup. I need to remember to block that whole domain next time it pops up in my feed.
