6·3 天前Play it. The money’s already spent. Avoid giving them money for anything else in the future. No ethical consumption under capitalism, so just do the best you can.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you could see one statistic above every person's head, that is updated in real time and never goes away, what would you choose?English
2·4 天前It doesn’t specify, but if everyone could see it the implications would be more pressing than the question itself. If only one person, or just a select few people, in the world can see it it’s not a widespread privacy violation. Just like only a select few people are (supposed) to have access to private information in the real world for it to not be a privacy violation.
Presumably with questions like others can see different stats if they chose one. And even if only you saw it you could be super unethical and MAKE it a widespread privacy violation by showing social security, credit card, etc. info and stealing whatever you could as much as you could.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you could see one statistic above every person's head, that is updated in real time and never goes away, what would you choose?English
2·4 天前No, not really. There are a LOT of very unempathic people who are super easy to scam (MAGA), and being empathetic doesn’t mean you fall for scams easily. You’d want something like a gullibility score for that.
samus12345@sh.itjust.worksto
Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you could see one statistic above every person's head, that is updated in real time and never goes away, what would you choose?English
1·4 天前I thought that only you can see this stat, not everyone else. It’s an issue of privacy violation otherwise.
This is a 16 year gap, not 20. And 20 years before San Andreas, Super Mario Bros. wasn’t even out yet.

World News@lemmy.world•EU rejects Trump administration claims that ICC threatens US sovereigntyEnglish
31·4 天前I feel like it’s the responsibility of world leaders who claim to support to democracy to strongly condemn governments like the US that are being blatantly fascist as well as the systems that are strengthening its presence in their own countries. They’re the ones giving the Yanks a free pass by handling them with kid gloves!

He’s gonna have to switch parties if he’s planning to be re-elected.
