Frankly, I use a Windows 7 installation (dual boot) without network connection and repack versions of a couple of the old games (in Sandboxie instances) that I like to play on occasion.
I don’t want internet dependencies or third party control just to play a game I bought.
When you’re hooked on non-local LAN multiplayer, you’re simply out of luck.
