Yeah ok but most households probably don’t absolutely need an AC, there’s definitely people that would be put at risk if they didn’t have one but on average in the west I don’t think it’s the case.

Is Zohran good? It’s a good signal that the dems are against him but also I’ve seen him mince his words and weasel out of some questions similar to what AOC and Bernie do usually, so far it seems to me like he’ll be New York AOC.
Oh yeah the repairability/upgradability of Macbooks is absolutely horrendous but at least you can be pretty sure it’s gonna last you a while unless you have an accident with it.
Eh, kind of but I even found Thinkpads to be lacking there, they start showing wear and tear symptoms after around a year tops.
Unfortunately, literally the only company that produces laptops with some actual durability and build quality is Apple. I would really like to be proven wrong here but so far I haven’t.
But I have yet to reach the conclusion where the author says that inciting mortal hate against the so-called Bourgeois Proletariat actually helps to build a better world and not draws a major group away from you.
As opposed to what exactly? Asking them nicely to stop being self centered racist assholes?
The proper term would probably be “labor aristocracy”.
Ridiculous, sounds like a half assed management ploy to cut down on labor costs. It is now your duty to burn through all the tokens they paid for and declare it to be shit even if it was somewhat useful.
Eh Trump is gonna flip flop on this in a day or two anyway.
My work is requiring me to start using AI
Why would they absolutely require you to use it? How would they know if you didn’t?
i cannot understand why it ever became popular to simplify the already simple part of programming and make the already hard one way harder.
Writing the initial code was never simple to me unless it was trivial code, debugging was usually faster. Also setting up all the boilerplate is always boring as shit, might as well have the AI do it just don’t overdo it with using it.
Pretty sure there’s an “AI aggressiveness” slider when you’re starting a new game, have you tried fiddling with that? Also you could make a custom start and put only empires with peaceful ethics in your game.
It’s a shame because this update was promised to bring a huge performance boost but honestly if anything it feels slower than before.
I stubbed my toe yesterday, must have been fed work too. Jesus your ego is huge.
Well I’m definitely not feeling any performance improvements tbh. Also I feel like auto planet management is damn near useless now, it doesn’t seem to want to build new stuff at a reasonable rate. I like the overall changes to planet management, much less annoying micro management.
EDIT: Also I’m glad they revamped trading and piracy, horribly annoying mechanics in the past.
I don’t really see XHS’s posts as doomerist as you do, just really opinionated and skeptical of current leadership, they even acknowledge Xi’s presidency is a shift back towards marxism. I’m not dying on any hills here since I’m not all that informed (and I really hope you’re right about this since I don’t want to see the CPC fall) but honestly you’re coming off as way too combative.
Calling random people feds is kinda lame too tbh.
I don’t agree with the claim that it has been completely subverted by liberals, but there does seem to be a strong liberal current within the CPC.
Why hasn’t the CPC in the current global situation move more strongly towards socialism and liberation of Global South countries? The idea of a Chinese “Marshall plan” that Xiaohongshu outlined seems like a reasonable step, do you have any information about that actual plans of the CPC?
What argument are you making exactly? There are a lot of members of the CPC therefore it is definitely communist and couldn’t be infiltrated by liberals? It’s not exactly unheard of in history that a communist party would be infiltrated by nationalists and/or liberals.
I would definitely not like that to happen to China but it’s not outside the realm of possibility. Also xiaohongshu seems way more knowledgeable about recent Chinese history than you, you moan about sources yet you haven’t posted any yourself.
Could China conceivably just move beyond the western funny money financial magic tricks and transition slowly into a planned economy, or at least a more closed off socialist market economy? They have the productive capacities in their control, if push comes to shove and there’s a total blockade of trade between China and the West wouldn’t they just win?
Yeah that’s basically it, that’s why western pro China communists sometimes insist on using the more proper translation (CPC), but also I’ve seen some Chinese comrades say they don’t really care about the distinction.
