Are these percentages referring to total biomass or population count?

space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto politics@hexbear.net•This is why corporate news outlets will never be trustworthy.English32·3 days agoIf Obama got one don’t see why Trump can’t get one either, it’s clearly a complete sham.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto Ask Lemmygrad@lemmygrad.ml•What is the difference between CCP and CPCEnglish101·10 days agoThe west media likes to use CCP instead of CPC?
Yeah that’s basically it, that’s why western pro China communists sometimes insist on using the more proper translation (CPC), but also I’ve seen some Chinese comrades say they don’t really care about the distinction.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto technology@hexbear.net•Nobody wants 5 tits. If Total Recall taught us anything it's that 3 tits is where it's at 👍English4·12 days agoYeah ok but most households probably don’t absolutely need an AC, there’s definitely people that would be put at risk if they didn’t have one but on average in the west I don’t think it’s the case.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto news@hexbear.net•Democratic Party lawmakers are refusing to endorse Zohran Mamdani and are spreading lies about him in the processEnglish23·13 days agoIs Zohran good? It’s a good signal that the dems are against him but also I’ve seen him mince his words and weasel out of some questions similar to what AOC and Bernie do usually, so far it seems to me like he’ll be New York AOC.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto technology@hexbear.net•So the plastic chassis of any budget laptop is intentionally designed to disintegrate after about two years of normal use, right?English4·17 days agoOh yeah the repairability/upgradability of Macbooks is absolutely horrendous but at least you can be pretty sure it’s gonna last you a while unless you have an accident with it.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto technology@hexbear.net•So the plastic chassis of any budget laptop is intentionally designed to disintegrate after about two years of normal use, right?English11·17 days agoEh, kind of but I even found Thinkpads to be lacking there, they start showing wear and tear symptoms after around a year tops.
Unfortunately, literally the only company that produces laptops with some actual durability and build quality is Apple. I would really like to be proven wrong here but so far I haven’t.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto videos@hexbear.net•People have had enough of Israel's propagandaEnglish17·26 days agoBut I have yet to reach the conclusion where the author says that inciting mortal hate against the so-called Bourgeois Proletariat actually helps to build a better world and not draws a major group away from you.
As opposed to what exactly? Asking them nicely to stop being self centered racist assholes?
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto videos@hexbear.net•People have had enough of Israel's propagandaEnglish15·26 days agoThe proper term would probably be “labor aristocracy”.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto technology@hexbear.net•Vibe coded my first appEnglish10·2 months agoRidiculous, sounds like a half assed management ploy to cut down on labor costs. It is now your duty to burn through all the tokens they paid for and declare it to be shit even if it was somewhat useful.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto news@hexbear.net•President Donald Trump says Russian leader Vladimir Putin ‘has gone absolutely CRAZY!’English9·2 months agoEh Trump is gonna flip flop on this in a day or two anyway.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto technology@hexbear.net•Vibe coded my first appEnglish18·2 months agoMy work is requiring me to start using AI
Why would they absolutely require you to use it? How would they know if you didn’t?
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto technology@hexbear.net•Vibe coded my first appEnglish10·2 months agoi cannot understand why it ever became popular to simplify the already simple part of programming and make the already hard one way harder.
Writing the initial code was never simple to me unless it was trivial code, debugging was usually faster. Also setting up all the boilerplate is always boring as shit, might as well have the AI do it just don’t overdo it with using it.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto games@hexbear.net•thoughts on new Stellaris DLC/update?English4·2 months agoPretty sure there’s an “AI aggressiveness” slider when you’re starting a new game, have you tried fiddling with that? Also you could make a custom start and put only empires with peaceful ethics in your game.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto games@hexbear.net•thoughts on new Stellaris DLC/update?English4·2 months agoIt’s a shame because this update was promised to bring a huge performance boost but honestly if anything it feels slower than before.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto news@hexbear.net•US and Chinese officials met for 8 hours today to discuss trade and tariffs, no signs of progress -- Update Trump claims progress is madeEnglish102·2 months agoI stubbed my toe yesterday, must have been fed work too. Jesus your ego is huge.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto games@hexbear.net•thoughts on new Stellaris DLC/update?English7·2 months agoWell I’m definitely not feeling any performance improvements tbh. Also I feel like auto planet management is damn near useless now, it doesn’t seem to want to build new stuff at a reasonable rate. I like the overall changes to planet management, much less annoying micro management.
EDIT: Also I’m glad they revamped trading and piracy, horribly annoying mechanics in the past.
space_comrade [he/him]@hexbear.netto news@hexbear.net•US and Chinese officials met for 8 hours today to discuss trade and tariffs, no signs of progress -- Update Trump claims progress is madeEnglish102·2 months agoI don’t really see XHS’s posts as doomerist as you do, just really opinionated and skeptical of current leadership, they even acknowledge Xi’s presidency is a shift back towards marxism. I’m not dying on any hills here since I’m not all that informed (and I really hope you’re right about this since I don’t want to see the CPC fall) but honestly you’re coming off as way too combative.
Calling random people feds is kinda lame too tbh.
Does this number include people dying of malnutrition or not receiving proper healthcare for treatable causes?
