Cat 1 is a reincarnation of an ancient god of chilling and relaxation. He will sleep on whatever place you want to sit. Your nice garden chair? Cat. Desk chair? Cat. Bed? Cat. He’s a little burglar that will break into the neighborhoods houses and sleep on their stuff as well. Doesn’t matter if they already own cats themselves.

Cat 2 loves scratches and cuddles but will always stand juuuust out of reach, rubbing herself and rolling on the floor. If you move closer, she’ll move further away. She’s also a cryptid and only able to be photographed like a blurry bigfoot so I can’t show anyone how cute she is with her little white mittens.

For what it’s worth, I do see that post in the nuclear energy community feed. Maybe there is a delay with it appearing? (or the problem is solved haha)

There’s a high barrier for me to even start typing a comment, but I try to contribute more on lemmy. Haven’t really participated on social media in years. I guess about 20% of the time when I think I should comment I actually do it.

Those are some spectacular patterns! They remind me of the ‘celtic knot’.

When I have issues eating I go for non-offensive foods that are easy to swallow such as a can of white beans in tomato sauce, plain full fat Greek yoghurt, oatmeal made with milk and not water, lentil soup. I sometimes make 1000 kcalorie smoothies with half an avocado, 2 tbsp peanut butter, cup of 10% fat yogurt, a banana, 1/2 cup oatmeal and enough orange juice to make it liquid. Will not win any taste awards but does contain a bunch of good stuff.

Pfff, gaat allemaal veel langzamer dan de bedoeling was, en we bezitten echt een schrikbarende hoeveelheid spullen. Maarja, we houden van lezen en platen verzamelen… De zwaarste dingen om te verhuizen :( Hebben jullie de vrijdag gehaald?

Vloer is inmiddels gestort in ons nieuwe huis, dus weer verder met de verhuizing! Hopelijk krijgen we vandaag de schuur leeg…

Oef… Ik heb een tijdje een relatie gehad met iemand met gescheiden ouders, die van mij zijn ook gescheiden. Dan heb je inderdaad 4 kerstdagen, en met je verjaardag willen ze allemaal niet in een kamer zitten. Ik heb met mijn verjaadag gezegd dat ik daar niet aan mee doe, ik organiseer 1 verjaardag en dan gaan ze daar maar met de kiezen op elkaar op de bank zitten, ze zijn allemaal volwassenen tenslotte dus ze doen het er maar mee.

Leuk idee Ted! :) Na een vrij waardeloze week heb ik vandaag weer een werkende auto, dus kan ik morgen naar mijn man rijden die aan het klussen is in ons nieuwe huis. We moeten een heel stuk van de vloer uitgraven omdat er nieuw beton gestort wordt… Maandag moet het klaar zijn, dus we moeten nog een paar dagen heel hard buffelen. Mijn man en onze vaders zijn helden en hebben al een heleboel werk verzet gelukkig!

If you check https://hexbear.net/instances you can see feddit.nl in the list, I’m not subscribed to any of their communities so I haven’t noticed whether their content shows up, but I see reactions in the comments by hexbear users sometimes.

First off, thanks admins for dealing with the shitshow that is ‘people on the internet’ so that we can have some fun entertainment and discussions <3

Since we are a small instance that is Dutch-focused I feel we should put our efforts towards making our main community !thenetherlands@feddit.nl more active instead of splitting the content to several communities like !nieuws@feddit.nl Maybe a weekly recurring thread like the maandag klaagdraad they do over on /r/thenetherlands, or something like ‘what have you been up to this week?’ for some more casual chatting.

I also see a lemmy.world admin has been added to the team, welcome @clueless_stoner :) I’m curious about the collaboration between feddit.nl and lemmy.world, are both intended to be ran similarly? The biggest difference I noticed is that we on feddit.nl are federated with hexbear, while lemmy.world isn’t, is that expected to change? How are things like future defederations handled, I can imagine that for some malicious instance you will just have to act quickly to block it, but for other instances where there is less time pressure I would appreciate it if the admins make the users part of the discussion and decision making process.

Update: ik heb nog wat meer dingen geprobeerd, en als ik via Firefox feddit.nl gebruik heb ik (bijna) geen problemen en als ik uBlock uitzet helemaal geen problemen. Als ik Brave gebruik is bijna alles kapot, ook met de Brave shields uitgeschakeld. Ik wou een screenshot maken van Liftoff op mn telefoon, maar daar werken alle afbeelden nu ineens wel? Ik heb ook mn tablet met Chrome er bijgepakt om nog een brower te kunnen proberen, met uBlock aan werkt een gedeelte, meer dan op Brave. Met uBlock uit werkt het wel.

I heb een post gemaakt in Quarks :) Ik had ook al iets gevonden in de FAQ dat het zou liggen aan adblockers, maar zelf zonder adblocker werkt het niet op mijn pc of op mijn telefoon. Er lijkt iets raar te zijn met de links van de afbeeldingen, zoals de OP van de post die je linkt ook aangeeft. Als er via de post op Quarks een oplossing komt zal ik die hier ook even posten :)

Dus het heeft meer nut de admin van startrek.website een berichtje te sturen? Ik wist niet goed waar de fout ligt, omdat ik in de comments allerlei mensen zag uit verschillende instances die geen problemen ervaren dacht ik dat de fout bij ons zou liggen. Dat is wel een nadeel van de fediverse: niet weten bij wie je iets moet melden :P

Raar, ik ben ook geabonneerd en mijn voorpagina staat half vol kapotte plaatjes…
