science@lemmy.world•Decades old puzzle solved as scientists uncover cause of inflammatory bowel diseaseEnglish
52·3 months agoInteresting article, for anyone wanting the TLDR:
Antibodies that block interleukin-10 (IL-10), a cell-to-cell messenger that normally acts as one of the body’s key controls on inflammation, effectively remove the immune system’s natural ‘brake’ on inflammation, allowing inflammatory responses to continue unchecked.

54·3 months agoAlso, it comes with the story of Chavez Ravine which was forcefully evicted to make way for the stadium.
Ugh, open source femboys are all I need.
She’s probably comfortable though.

5·6 months agoI’ve used Archinstall without issue a couple times now. I get why it might not fit every use case or seem as intuitive to others as it does to me but I’ve enjoyed using it.

2·6 months agoFair warning, my personal machines run linux so I’m not able to test this.
You could use a script like the one listed here to notify you of IP address changes:
https://superuser.com/a/1892075
Edit: I use something like this with a pushover notification to let me know when my external IP address changes
Edit2: or this: https://woodward.digital/public-ip-address-changes-alert-powershell/
Better to exchange your finite time for money at a place of employment and use that money for pills.
The kind of person who would pay for a virginity is likely a rapist.
Also, cheese may be more rewarding than pills.

4·8 months agoI know that some generator turbines go ~3600 rpm
If my (admittedly super rusty) math is right if we assume a radius of 1 meter which would mean a circumference of ~6.28 meters. In that case the tips of the turbines would be moving:
6.28 * 3600 =22,608 meters per minute.
Please feel free to rip up my math as I’m going on little sleep at the moment.
