Once upon a time, ripcord was my favorite to use, unfortunately its been dead and dormant for over 2 years now. Id love to know if anybody knows any similar client (for example: be it in having custom design, or being super lightweight)

Most of the “third party clients” being suggested here are wrappers for the official client. I use purple-discord. If you don’t care about voice/video this works well enough.
