The Dutch headwind championship was just held, after it was cancelled last year because of too much wind

I want so see people riding in the other direction, being propelled at 60km/h without even touching the pedals!
Feel free to downvote me:
While I hiked when it was -40°C outside, I really despise biking against headwind especially since the roads here are in disrepair and the inclines can be brutal.
Oddly enough tho I really enjoy biking 20-40km and take the inclines so I’m a bit of a weird one😅
Why downvote? I intended this post as not serious at all!
And everybody has his own preferences, in terms of accpable weather for biking 🙂
fair enough🤗
The sarcasm flew over me so I wasn’t sure how my comment would be received😅

For sure!💯
That’s my bad weather. That’s just wind. Where’s the snow the ice the sleet the hail the tree branches sticks and leaves in your face. Where’s the 40-60c temperature runs with 80%+ humidity and a 10+ UV index.
The “bad weather” part is nearly never a concern for me, but bad weather tends to mean more wear and tear, cleanup, and risk of rust for my bike.
So, I ride less often in bad weather for that reason 😂
Wouldn’t you have a massive advantage if you ride an Aerobike and wear Lycra in this championship 😂
Weather is never an excuse to not ride.
Some of my favorite trail rides have been in the mud. You just have to ride differently than you would if it were dry conditions. Mud for me means climbing days instead of descending since descending in the mud is wild.
I do call it when the rain is coming down in sheets though. I don’t like to be pushed backwards like the guys in this video.
there is a saying in german, “there is no bad weather, just bad clothing”
A collegue of mine turned it into “there’s no bad clothing, there’s just pussies”
