I would prefer as well to have direct elections for all positions in the EU but I think that would scare too much the politians. Can you imagine a german campaigning in Spain or a greek in Austria?

Seriously, Ursula insisted on having her own flat inside the commission where she enjoy immunity and cannot get searched for her multiple corruption case. The commission have zero democratic legitimacy.
