The last time Trump was in power I thought we should get much closer to the EU, potentially as a member
I look at Europe’s worker protections and privacy protections as a model we all should follow.
Is Greenland in the EU, or is it a Danish territory that is explicitly outside the EU?
Greenland is not in the EU because of the Fishing Quotas
Probably good though, Denmark pumps in 500.000.000€ per year for just 50.000 Inhabitants and it’s still not really great to live there…

No not really… I will postpone thinking about it to later this day (after sleeping)
I’d keep it. People can subscribe to both, and I often find myself looking for goods in EU stores (aka. not UK, sadly) so I don’t have to pay ~30€ handling fee + tax. I know that OSS exists, but it’s rarely apparent whether any given online store uses it.
I mean the UK isnt part of the EU and there are significant differences in law and trade stuff so its not a clear cut answer.

This is true. !buyeuropean@feddit.uk is for whole Europe and not just EU (the community logo is bit misleading atm).
It’s of course ok to have a more EU specific community but I personally think Lemmy isn’t big enough to have so much fragmentation and incredibly specific communities (yet).
But we can link to !buyfromeu@feddit.org from our community if OP decides that there is need for EU specific buy-community. Fediverse is free and both communities share the same goal: support closer economies!
