    Why the hell would you need a grant to allow that? Can’t they buy from whoever they please?

      Think of it more as a farm-to-table addition that was the only source of real fruits and vegetables.

      Now going forward, everything will come from the back of a truck, previously frozen.

      Let’s not even get into who’s making money off it now. I’m already too depressed.

        Still don’t understand why they were or are prohibited from buying those vegetables.

        Are they just saying it’s now more expensive without the grant?

          Yes most likely it’s more expensive to buy high quality food. They were given a grant to cover the higher cost, but required to buy local and thus support their community.
