Let me just preface this by saying that I’m not yet 100% sure that this is who I am. But I wanted to try out another name, to see how it feels. Maybe I will realize I’m transfem one day, or maybe that I’m NB or fluid.

What I do know however, is that I want to express myself in more feminine ways, but I wouldn’t want to waste my entire wardrobe, if it’s possible to make something femme out of it.

I thought that you gals would maybe have some tips concerning that, or maybe some good resources you could point me to.

For example, I own a bajillion generic mens’ tshirts, what could I do with those? Tuck them in a skirt? Tie them up to be cropped? Idk

I guess I’m just generally someone who has great fun in making the best out of what they already have.

Also, shoes. Holy cow, shoes. I’m a EU 48, which translates to a UK 13, a US mens’ 14 and a US womens’ 15. Not much choice, is there?

So many new thoughts zooming through my head right now, but this wall of text has to be enough for now, otherwise I wouldn’t be done typing until next week.

Who knows, maybe you’ll hear more from me over the next months of introspection.

I thought I saw this site somewhere, I just couldn’t remember what it was called. Shoes seem to stop at 46, which is very much too short for my flippers^^

Doesn’t mean that this site isn’t a valuable resource for me, being 6’1, so thank you :)

Making a skirt out of a shirt sounds fun, goes hand in hand with the recommendation to learn sewing :D

      Hi^^
I have to be honest, I’m both excited and nervous to have made this post. I’ve learned so much about myself in the last two years, but it seems that my journey isn’t over just yet

        TWO YEARS?! 😱

All gender questions, or two years of general learning about yourself?

I’m a little more than two months in and my therapist reassures me that it’s a long slow process, but my 'tism yells at me, “no! We need answers now!”

Just general self-discovery, including things like sexuality and neurodivergence

I feel that last sentence… Like I said in the very first sentence of this post, I’m not yet 100% sure about it, I still need some more time to self-reflect.

I want to have the answers right now.

Well, I have a few answers already.
Does it make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when you gals call me Nathalie, or when I put that name under an email to see how it looks?

          Yes. Absolutely yes.

    Hi Nathalie!

    I’m sure you’ve seen me around 😜

I guess you can call me Andrina, that’s the name I’ve had in my head for a bit, not sure I’ve explicitly told anyone before.

I love that you’re wanting to repurpose what you already have. As we’ve already discussed elsewhere, I feel the same! I want to get some new stuff but I have too many t shirts already, though t shirts aren’t necessarily inherently masculine, but I get that coming from that side, you want to be more feminine so it’s less ambiguous? My thoughts tend to go that if it’s not clearly feminine, ambiguity on me will get perceived as “masculine enough” instead of androgynous.

If you didn’t see it, I had some posts last week in non-binary and transfem asking for advice and there were some good ideas there, not about sewing, but including more feminine touches. Tldr: women’s shirts, cute little jewelry, some shoes in men’s can be feminine-ish.

I for one do hope we hear more from you! :3

Ahhh, I remember seeing your post here now. I’ve set read posts to hide, that’s why I forgot about it.

I need to check it out :)

Shoes are definitely the biggest annoyance, maybe going the ambiguous mens’ shoes route is my best bet to complete an actual outfit top to bottom one day

I feel you on the shoes. I haven’t really even looked, could be due to the fact that my big wide ass feet have limited selection anyway, it’s less about what do you like and more, what can I wear?

            It sucks 😩

Although, that tall Sally website did have a filter for up to size 15 so 🤷‍♀️

Im definitely gonna check it out for some clothes at least.

Idk, if I check EU sizes, it tops out at 46.

But then it also says that a UK 13 is equivalent to a 46, while the charts I find when searxing tell me UK 13 is an EU 48, the size I’d need

              I’m confused

Are you EU, or us? I saw another reference to EU sizins, but then height in feet. If you’re in the US, there is a US site. If you’re in the UK, I don’t really understand why they wouldn’t have bigger.
