The visit was brief, but it was so nice to see her. My mom was helping me drop off the feed Sandy will be fed when she moves. I wanted to get her switched over slowly before the move so it’s one less stressor for her.

Next week I’ll be allowed to go back to regular activity, so I’ll be able to interact with Ms Sandy Lou again. So excited that I could cry.

Horses are great. I stopped interacting with them for about a decade and then started volunteering at a barn. I bonded with Sandy and her owner and I have a deal where I do all of the care and interaction and everything and she provides the money for it. Sandy probably only has a few years left in her, so we wanna make sure they’re good ones.

Glad to hear all went well and you’ll be back at it next week! Thanks for the updates. Is Sandy going to another farm?

Thank you! And yes, she is! She’s moving to a farm with better conditions and more outside time. She’ll also be 10 mins from my house instead of 40. She’ll be moving at the end of the month.

Yes! I’m hoping she’ll integrate well with the herd there. She’ll be outside with other horses during the day. She hasn’t had close up interactions with other horses in a long time. Thankfully the fields are big enough for her to stay off by herself if she wants.
