From what I understand lemmy outright lacks the great anti-brigading resources that reddit has, meaning one community can just come in and dogpile on a post in a completely other community and there’s no way for anyone to defend against it or even know it’s happening. If you don’t know just how toxic that is to the website, realize that reddit literally goes as far as to protect leftists when they get dogpiled by nazis. Same site which does everything in its power to suppress anything left of hitler if it can get away with it. Yeah, it’s that important.
