I tried to register (as informapirata) to test the new Lemmy environment, but after a day, the registration is still pending approval. Can you confirm that registration is allowed, or are requests not expected to be approved at this time?
I’m also wondering if I can use this testing community from other platforms like Friendica or Mastodon, or would you prefer these “tests” to be done in the future instead of now?
Sorry the instance was accidentally left with “registration approval” mode instead of open registration. I changed that now and approved all registrations.
Its fine to use this instance for testing, however it needs to run in allowlist mode, because it runs on a small vps and with open federation quickly gets completely overloaded from the large instances.
