She didn’t really do it for me as Catwoman, and she definitely wouldn’t have worked as Harley imo.

I blame that more on the character design and the writing than on Hathaway’s ability. She’s always brought her a-game. But I think they wanted a very different catwoman than usual (more smart, less sultry) and it just didn’t work as a character.
I know she’s an objectively good actor but for some reason she looks like she’s always on the verge of a mental breakdown to me so there’s this weird disconnect whenever she has a commanding role. My brain just won’t suspend my disbelief sometimes.
I kinda still see her as Ella Enchanted, so I have a hard time “placing” her in roles in my head if that makes sense. Like I’ll always see her as the girl who has to sing Queen to a bunch of giants(?)
She is very whimsical. Like seeing Ms Rachel in an action film
Now I want someone to edit Ms. Rachel into an Avengers movie or something.

I never read the comics. I only know the character from the animated series and Tim Burton’s movie. But it seems to me that Catwoman is a mirror of Batman and should be just as damaged. That wasn’t portrayed in Nolan’s films.
I was surprised by how much I liked her Catwoman, but she sadly had no chemistry with Bale whatsoever.
Is this the one where cops run into battle to save the city? I honestly think that movie is a bad joke.
I even don’t remember Catwoman being in Dark Knight Rises.
