Generally I prefer how confident 343 was for Halo 4 than this inferiority complex toward Bungie that developed since starting Halo 5 which has only grown through Infinite-CE.

The problem was that they tried to introduce another universal threat so soon after dealing with like the universal threats in both the flood, and Truth trying to fire all the rings with the ark in 3. Honestly 4 shouldn’t have had a single forerunner on screen, like the second they put another universal threat on the table so soon after dealing with the ark was the second I checked out of whatever story they wanted to tell, honestly the bad guy for 4 onwards should’ve been ONI. Also the less I talk and think about the wasted potential of the Banished and Atriox the better (book Atriox is a god damn revolutionary, game Atriox is a McGeneric warlord).
