    if you can

Is the key in my message, anyway, it’s better if you buy food from lical restourants or shops, they usually sell bigger quantities for less than fast food

(well… at least where i live and a good chunk of europe, idk how the situation is in the USA and other places tho)

      !

Okay WOW it seems there’s a whole freaking paragraph i thought was IN my reply that i never actually managed to put in there x.x

I could have SWORN i had a bit where I was pumping up local restaurants too! DANG IT!

ANYWHO i agree with that and totally botched putting in the part where I wanted to make that clear >.< Local restaurants, especially the family owned ones, are a TREASURE! in my experience they are indeed actually worth it! Like, especially in terms of making the day to day lived experience more worthwhile! Real food cooked by good people from scratch is irreplaceable and impossible to replicate. Aint no sysco freight truck that bulk carries the ingredients i taste at the local Jamaican joint i love so much!

Furthermore we kinda have a too many calories problem in the United States anyway–specifically the empty ones without any micronutrient value whatsoever. Getting food full of diverse flavor and a wide scope of ingredients covers so many more bases. Hell, I also love salads from the Italian place near my house (they have this spinach pie one, i get Bleu Cheese dressing for it, it’s massive and feeds me for two days on less than ten bucks per day) and I can practically TASTE the vitamins @.@

(Ooh damn I’m gonna get that today too actually…!)

I only mentioned Costco because I like how they treat their employees and the rotisserie chickens are indeed extremely particularly cost effective

But yeah I’m entirely down with that: “IF YOU CAN!”
We’re all running on limited resources that are getting tighter by the day and everyone deserves s modicum of grace for needing to cut corners because there’s no other way to survive! Local small places that make their own stuff instead of adherence to some Corpo menu DEFINITELY ARE more cost effective now than any chain restaurant.

I haven’t bought a single thing from McDonald’s since last year and I say GOOOOOOOD RIDDANCE!
