Let’s take a moment to look at what’s going right. What’s made you laugh or smile recently? No matter how big or small it is, we want to hear about it!
I only laugh at really dumb stuff, so the last thing to make me laugh was when I was going to the park a couple of days ago, and passed by the library building, and noticed that right outside the library there was one of those little community library thingies; you know, like the little encased shelf on a pole that people can leave their unwanted books in :3… there’s a certain amount of humour I found in the idea of someone going “oh I don’t want go all the way to the library, let me just go to the community library box… by the library”
Oh I also won a giveaway that day, and got a bunch of stuff ^^ that was fun
My kid has the same weird laugh as that father/son duo in Revenge of the Nerds. It’s hysterical to listen to her so we tell lots of jokes to trigger her. 😆
I just got back to my favorite app, Slowly, and found a person to write to.
Ohhhh this app looks like fun!! I haven’t had a penpal since high school French class. A LONG time ago. Thank you for this!
No problem, very glad to hear you like it! I have been using it for years, on/off. Just remember that not getting a reply (or reply taking months) is likely nothing personal and you’ll be fine!
Went to a townhall (my first time ever) with a crowd of people to speak out against flock cameras yesterday. It went amazingly. All the comments were so good, and each one seemed to build and expand on the previous one, even though there was no coordination in the order of comments. I talked about what it actually means for someone to “get your data” (it means they can take more of your money). One council member was nodding along with me, wide-eyed, like a lightbulb had gone on over his head. At the end of it all, he said he learned a lot from this meeting. All the council members were gracious and I think we may have actually moved the needle. This is what politics is supposed to be.
