The age old “we’ll get you on the back end” promise

“If you want to serve your country, you should enlist in the military.”
“Actually, I’m happy to abandon my country so I can go around killing civilians, breaking the law and causing chaos for my own personal gratification.”

I can see what kind of concessions they are ready to make.

I mean how about an ethical clause about killing innocents, or dunno getting actual mental health treatment?
