(I have no idea how true this is)

i have a very limited experience with (bad/south) Korean taxi drivers so my opinion here is mud. We waited in the extremely long taxi line outside the train station for about 25 minutes to get a taxi to our hotel after a long day of ferry and train rides.
When it was finally our turn, I asked the driver to pop the trunk so we could put our suitcases into his sedan, which he did, and I got everything jammed in. Then the 4 of us (2 seniors who have hip issues) got into the cab. I gave the driver our destination which was probably about 3 miles away or so. He just said “no” and made a cross with his arms.
No matter what I said to him he just kept saying “no”. We were holding up the line because he wouldn’t move and all the other taxis started honking. He said “leave” and wouldn’t go. Then he tried to leave without opening the trunk so I smacked his car and told him to pop the trunk, which he begrudginly did. Then the next group of people got into the cab and off he went. Then the traffic cops or whatever the hell they were told us we have to go back to the back of the line again.
We ended up buying subway tickets, figuring out that maze of bullshit, and then walking 10x what we should have had to walk to avoid any stairs.
Our entire trip to Worst Korea was filled with bullshit like this and I will never go back to that shitty America-wannabe country.
Any idea what got that response?
absolutely no idea. was the last thing i expected to be honest
