    The article is a bit vague what ‘can’t afford to miss’ really means imho, but Europe must indeed focus on sovereignty also in AI. There are good projects as we know like Mistral and Soofi (the latter being really Open Source, unlike the models in China and the US).

      Agreed, I don’t quite get the ai hate here. Sure, generative ai might be overhyped, but we’ve had AI for ages and nobody complained about ocr or autocomplete.
