Last season was satisfying for me as it was Sam Donald’s redemption arc that was completed. I watched him play in USC and thought he’d be a good NFL QB but his career didn’t go smoothly. So him winning the superbowl validated what I saw in him as a college player.
This year I’m watching the Bills and see if the coaching changes are enough. my suspicion is it isn’t. GM hasn’t been upgrading the talent, and repeatedly fails at WR. I think Steelers are making a mistake wasting their season on AR. Time to develop a QB. Can Bengals find their form from a few years ago or do they keep wasting Burrow’s prime? What will become of Rams’ superb off-season moves? Harbaugh finally discarded the dinosaur OC and brought in Mike McD. Will Mike raise Herbert to a new level? These are the stories I’m watching. What about you?

But it’s weird that to my kbowledge we are the only division with three football teams (pretty good ones at that) and a baseball team. Don’t know why they did this.
So,e good games, hoping the Lions do well as the wife has picked them. I’ve been really enjoying games since I stopped being a Cowboys fan. Now I just watch good matchups.
Dexter Lawerence on the Bengals. Dude is a game changer and I’m excited to see how his presence helps our guys on the Edge and especially the LBs. A lot of noise about how bad the 2 rookies were last year, but we had zero pressure most of the time and they were hosed from the jump. I’m generally high on the secondary, if not the depth. I really think this revamped line is going to let the rest of the Defense be great at what they’re good at.
Offense is almost a full runback of a consistently great squad. The O-line settled in alright last season and while I’m a little concerned about OBJ losing a step, Mims’ rise and the improved interior play should hopefully give Burrow some more breathing room. And also hopefully he’ll learn to throw it away like Flacco did last year. I love the hero ball, but I like him upright more.
Seeing if Tyler Shough lives up to the hype he built at the end of last season. At least until we get obliterated by injuries again.
I want to see if this is another yera of Jets rebuilding or not.
